Larae has worked in the financial services industry for over 20 years as a consultant and business leader in corporate finance, marketing and IT. Currently she works at Nationwide Insurance where she leads a research and development team, and the corporate library and archives teams.
In 1997 Larae graduated magna cum laude from Kenyon where she majored in English and French literature. After years of dreaming about going to law school, she graduated summa cum laude from Capital University Law School in 2018. She attended evening classes while working full time. She recently opened her own law firm to provide estate planning and elder law services to help families with wills, trusts, Medicaid and VA benefits.
Larae currently lives in Columbus with her husband and two shelter pets. An Ohio native (ninth generation), she is an avid genealogist, a mediocre cyclist (mountain and road biking) and a long-time Kenyon volunteer.
