Join the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in continuing our celebration of LGBTQ+ History Month!
At this year's annual LGBTQ+ History Month lecture, attendees will learn about a variety of historical milestones throughout queer and transgender history, while also considering how these intersectional narratives are told in the 21st century. This year's guest speaker is Eric Marcus (he/him), who is the founder and host of the critically acclaimed Making Gay History podcast.
The Making Gay History podcast — now in its 5th season — mines Marcus’s decades old audio archive of rare interviews, which were conducted for his award-winning oral history of the LGBTQ civil rights movement, to create intimate, personal portraits of both known and long-forgotten champions, heroes and witnesses to history.
Attendees are encouraged to also listen to a session of the podcast before and after this year's lecture! Free streaming of the podcast is available at the link below.
