Students in the modern European women's history class will present a historical context for women's integration at Kenyon by examining the history of debates over the purposes of women's education and women's intellectual capabilities since the Reformation and Enlightenment, the entry of women into higher education and professions in various European countries, the politics of women's political movements for legal equality and suffrage in a variety of historical contexts, and the politics of gender relations in Europe over the recent past.
The event will open at 5 p.m. with an open poster and display session and at 6:30 p.m. there will be presentations by students in various formats. Learn more about this long and fascinating history!
