Scraping over or across an image can destroy or finish it! After discussing Gerhard Richter's "Souvenir," we'll investigate different scraping techniques using acrylic paint and collage.
About the PM Atelier Workshop Series:
Drip, Scrape and Pour: Abstraction Techniques and Processes
PM Atelier is a series of hands-on workshops that introduce participants to a range of traditional artist techniques and processes. Every semester we focus on a different theme connected to our current exhibitions or collection works. Abstraction is our focus for spring of 2019. Participants have the option of copying works or exploring the technique with original subject matter. Registration is required and limited to 15 per session.
Seats are limited to 15 participants. Registration will open at noon on the Friday before the session. Visit to www.thegundgallery.org/events/pm-atelier-scrape to register.
