Paul Kahn '71 teaches in the information design and visualization and the experience design MFA programs at Northeastern University. He specializes in solving large information problems, shaping and designing collections of digital information to improve user experience. He is constantly looking the threshold of acceptance, the patterns that connect people to the information they need. Paul was experience design director at Mad*Pow from 2012-2018, where he has worked in the technology and healthcare sectors, relieving information overload for practitioners and patients. He spent a decade working in the design community of Paris where he created the first agency focused on information architecture. He led Dynamic Diagrams, an information design agency in Providence and taught at Rhode Island School of Design. He worked at the Institute for Research on Information and Scholarship at Brown University, where he served as director from 1990-1994. His portfolio includes clients in the biomedical field, literary publishers, large cultural institutions and international corporations in the U.S. and Europe.
