Learning objectives are a useful tool for communicating the work of your course to students, colleagues and collaborators outside the college. But faculty often wonder how well the objectives actually represent their courses. To get the most out of the format, we’ll look at the purposes and uses of learning objectives and discuss some specific examples from peer institutions. Faculty will then have time to practice writing and reviewing objectives as a group. Bring your own learning objectives or syllabi in progress.
