Stories help bring art to life. We invite our youngest art aficionados for special story times thematically linked to the art on view. We'll open early and have a hands-on activity just for kids. All storytimes take place in the Buchwald-Wright Gallery. The work of Pia Fries is the inspiration for our final fall storytime. Known for her dramatic use of color and texture, Pia Fries' abstract paintings are vibrant and energetic. We'll celebrate the joy color can bring to our lives in Julia Denos' "Swatch: The Girl Who Loved Color" and see how one dot can inspire in "The Dot" by Peter H. Reynolds.
Family Programs at the Gund Gallery connect, inspire and transform people of all ages and walks of life. Always free and open to the public, the Gund Gallery exhibitions and programs are also a regular centerpiece for special activities designed for families and children. Join the fun and discover new ideas and perspectives. This semester, we invite you to join us for Family Day, Story Times, and First Fridays in downtown Mount Vernon.
Free and open to the public. All ages welcome.
Gund Gallery exhibitions and public programs are supported, in part, by the Gund Gallery Board of Directors and the Ohio Arts Council.
