Bruno da Osimo (1888-1962) is one of the greatest Italian masters of xylography; he was a pupil of Adolfo de Carolis and friend of Gabriele d’Annunzio.
The exhibition “Bruno of the Stars: A Journey from the Natural to the Mythical” will be a tale of night scenes, architectures, trees, intimate spaces of spirituality, mysticism and art until the ultimate revelation of a glorious, beautiful, painful and timeless human destiny.
Curated by art history and Italian students, the exhibition will display 34 original pieces for a truly unique event open to the community of Kenyon College.
The exhibition will be on display in the Meier-Draudt Curatorial Classroom in the Gund Gallery, May 7-11 and May 17-18.
