Amigos de las Americas is a non-profit organization that offers cultural immersion programs throughout Central and South America. Amigos sends high school and college-age volunteers from the U.S. to Latin American communities for the summer or gap year. The volunteers work in partnership with Latin American youths to design and lead sustainable community-based projects which center upon themes such as civic participation, environmental sustainability, and cultural immersion.
Opportunities for Kenyon students:
• Summer programs for college students offered in Barranquilla, Colombia and Chimborazo, Ecuador
• Semester and gap year programs available in Ecuador and Nicaragua
• Job as a project supervisor supporting volunteers on their Amigos journey!
